via Miami Herald:
Miami Heat All-Star center Bam Adebayo has a lot of responsibilities on the court. But he’s also willing to take responsibility for his game, through thick and thin.
Both were up for a second-round playoff matchup for the eighth-seeded Heat against the fifth-seeded New York Knicks.
After Adebayo blamed himself for last week’s Heat’s Game 2 loss in New York that left the best-of-7 series tied 1-1, he responded with back-to-back dominant sweeping performances on both ends of the court in Games 3 and 4 in Miami to help propel the Heat to the series lead. 3-1.
After a Monday night 109-101 win over the Cassian Center in Game 4, the Heat is now one win away from advancing to the Eastern Conference Finals for the third time in four seasons and becoming the second No. 8 seed to reach the conference. The FIBA Finals has been in place since the current 16-team NBA edition of the 1983-84 season.
