NBA draft prospect Scoot Henderson is widely expected to be among the top three in this year’s draft, and a viral post on Instagram shows why. In addition to being a talented young player and explosive athlete, 18-year-old Henderson has also taken snaps. take a look.
While young point guards often need at least two seasons to gain enough weight and muscle to adapt to the NBA, Henderson is clearly ahead of the curve.
Scoot Henderson is an elite candidate but may still fall into the NBA Draft.
With an NBA-ready body, in theory, he should increase his stock before the NBA sweepstakes, when teams learn where they’ll pick. Even still, Henderson is unlikely to be taken first overall; Instead, 7’3 French center Victor Wimpanyama will likely hear his name call first. On top of that, believe it or not, depending on the draft order, that could theoretically go down to as many as four.
If the Detroit Pistons and San Antonio Spurs pick second and third overall, the Pistons will likely pick the best small forward on the draft board, while the Spurs would linked to two other guards. After Wimpanyama, though, Henderson could prove to be the second best player in this year’s draft.
He’s drawn comparisons to a young Russell Westbrook, circa his Oklahoma City Thunder days, but Henderson is younger and an absolute better than he was at the same age. Not to mention he already has a six pack. Whichever team he ultimately takes on, it seems clear that he’s the real deal.
Overall, Henderson seems to be more than physically ready to play in the NBA. In fact, no matter where he is taken, he has a chance to be a star.
