The Miami Heat is seen as the favorite to get Damian Lillard to a trade simply because he’s the best option for a point guard, but it doesn’t seem like much progress has been made toward a deal.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski said on “SportsCenter” Tuesday that the Portland Trail Blazers are “not impressed” with what the Heat offered them for Lillard. One problem is that the Blazers have no interest in Tyler Herro, whose $120 million contract would likely be included in any trade to Lillard.
In order to make Lillard an enticing offer, the Heat would need to field at least a third team. Wojnarowski says the Blazers are currently focused on seeing what they can get from teams other than Miami.
