Krista Enugukan Named Head Coach of Canada’s Under-23 Women’s National Team, Basketball Canada announce Friday.
It will be her first assignment as head coach global jam Championships this summer, as the team looks to clinch its second consecutive gold medal.

GLOBL JAM will take place in Toronto from July 12-16 and will feature the women’s and men’s under-23 teams from around the world. The games will be broadcast nationally across Sportsnet platforms, including SN NOW.
“It’s an honor to represent our country with the U23s in Toronto this summer,” Eniojukan told Basketball Canada’s edition. “We have a tremendous amount of talent in this age group, and GLOBL JAM provides them with an excellent opportunity to gain valuable international experience and showcase their talent at home. Eniojukan is the head coach of the York University women’s basketball program and has held the position since the 2021-22 season.
She returned to the Lions after spending two seasons with the team as a freshman athlete between 2003-2005, where she was also named Most Valuable Player her senior year.
Previously, Eniojukan was the first head coach for the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks in their inaugural season in 2019-20. She has been involved with Canada Basketball since 2010 in various roles as well.

Basketball Canada also announced that Nathaniel Mitchell, who was an assistant coach with the Toronto Raptors the previous two seasons, will return as the head coach of the Canadian U23 men’s national team that competes in GLOBL JAM.
“Excited and grateful for the opportunity to return to represent my country at this year’s GLOBL JAM,” Mitchell said in a statement. “Not only is it another opportunity to compete, but it is also to grow the game in Canada while playing at home.”
