NBA star Bradley Bell and the Washington Wizards are looking for a deal, but Bell has a no-trade clause. Here are three teams that could make him give up.
Bradley Beal has been one of the best NBA players for the past six seasons. He’s a three-time All-Star, was third-team All-NBA in 2021, and has been a 30-point-per-game leading scorer in the 2020 and 2021 season. One of the things that plagues Bill is that he hasn’t played more than 60 games in the past four seasons.
Over the past season, Bell averaged 23.2 points, 5.4 assists, and 3.9 rebounds on career-highs from the field of 50.6% and 36.5% from 3. But he only played 50 games.
With the Wizards having two more 20-point-per-game scorers in Kristaps Porzingis and Kyle Kuzma and Beal entering his 12th season at 30, it’s time for him to move on. Bale is currently under a five-year, $250 million deal with a player option for $57 million in the final year and a no-trade clause meaning he can cancel any deal he doesn’t like.
Teams that could make Bradley Bell waive his no-trade clause: 3. Philadelphia 76ers
The Philadelphia 76ers have one of the best packages to offer to the Washington Wizards. In the past six seasons, the 76ers have failed to make it past the second round. They tried many different things, hiring Doc Rivers, replacing Ben Simmons in favor of James Harden, and in their last attempt firing Rivers in favor of Nick Nurse.
With uncertainty about where James Harden wants to go in the offseason, Bradley Bell could be a nice change of pace. To make things a little better for 2023 MVP, Joel Embiid has expressed interest in trading for the Beal at the 2022 trade deadline.
Bradley Bell will give 76 goals and a bit of playmaking. Playing alongside a superstar like Joel Embiid, Bradley Bell forces him not to be the man, as he has been for the past six seasons in Washington. Bell wasn’t known to have playoff burners like Harden and Embiid, so he could give them an extra boost in the postseason.
The only way your 76er can make this trade is to send something like Tobias Harris and a couple of future first-round picks. Since the 76ers are letting Harris go, they may still have enough room to sign James Harden if he chooses to return in the off-season. The 76ers could have a starting lineup with James Harden, Bradley Bell and Joel Embiid with Therese Maxe coming off the bench.
That should be very attractive to the 76ers and attractive enough for Bradley Beal to waive the no-trade clause.
