The Portland Trail Blazers appeared to be on their way to the playoffs after a promising start to the season going 15-10 before the wheels started to give way. From New Year’s Day, Portland only went 10-28 and missed the playoffs and even the tournament. With superstar Damian Lillard nearing his mid-30s, the pressure is on the franchise to build a competitor around him before his contract expires or a deal is required.
