The 2023 Open Championship kicks off at Royal Liverpool FC on Thursday, with high-profile winners such as Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler battling it out for this year’s men’s Grand Slam. But what channel is open this week? Here’s everything you need to know to watch the event on TV.
What is the open channel?
For this year’s 151st Open Championship, NBC and USA are the channels that will provide TV coverage throughout the event in the US
The US will broadcast exclusive television coverage of Round One on Thursday and Round Two on Friday, with 11 hours of feature-length television programming each day. On weekends, USA will also have early coverage starting at 5 am ET on Saturday and 4 am ET on Sunday. NBC will then carry the primary broadcast of the third and final rounds, beginning at 7 a.m. ET on Saturdays and Sundays.
Early coverage of the first two rounds will be available exclusively online via Peacock. In addition, Peacock will provide featured team and holeshot coverage throughout the tournament, which can also be streamed on NBCSports.com.
