In the clip, McGregor and White are seen talking saying he got beat up and that’s all that mattered, the Irishman was crying the whole time.
White: “I mean after the footage you took of when the kid jumped in.”
MacGregor: “I don’t give a damn about it, I don’t give a damn about it. Those were handbags.”
White: “I didn’t see Khabib jump off the top, I didn’t expect it.”
McGregor: “Who cares about that, those handbags. I got beat up and that’s it. I got beat up where it mattered, that’s it, end. Who cares about everything (the other shit)”.
The conversation and moment was interesting to see from a viewer’s perspective because it showed how much Conor McGregor really appreciated that fight. Also, in the full episode of the documentary, McGregor was training incredibly hard and really believed he was going to beat Nurmagomedov again at UFC 229.
After the loss, McGregor took over a year off but made his comeback at UFC 246 with a TKO victory over Donald Cerrone. This victory remains the last time he won as he has since lost back-to-back fights to Dustin Poirier. The Irishman is targeting a comeback against Michael Chandler later this year.
