Ever wonder who might be better: real-life Cameron hero or video game Cameron Champ? GOLF Subpar co-hosts Colt Nost and Drew Stultz found out when they played against Champ in a match on the new EA Sports PGA Tour.
We’ll let you watch above to see who won — spoiler alert: Champ is still beating it truly Away – but you can also hear Champ detail his experiment capturing his swing motion to be included in the game.
“There were probably 100 cameras,” Champ said. “And they made me swing and gesticulate and do all this stuff.”
Champ was not yet a professional at the 2015 US Open in Chambers Bay, where the trio chose to play nine holes of the video game, but he competed there a year after the US Open in an amateur event. That experience paid off when he skillfully used the ramp on the par-4 12th driveable to roll his ball to 8 feet and make putts for the eagle.
