There’s more than just cash at stake at today’s conclusion of the John Deere Classic. Sure, the winner will take home $1.332m out of a $7.4m purse, but for most people, there’s also a place on the field for Royal Liverpool at stake.
The John Deere Classic is part of the Open Qualifying Series, which means the top three players who haven’t already qualified for the Open Championship earn places at the Royal Liverpool FC from July 20-23.
Brendon Todd, for example, is the 54-hole leader at 16-under and missed last year’s tournament. He could still qualify for it without a win on Sunday, but you know he’s looking forward to his fourth PGA Tour win, too.
Here are the payouts for the 2023 John Deere Classic, which you can watch from 1-3 p.m. (ET) on The Golf Channel and 3-6 p.m. on CBS.
