UFC vet Alexey Oleynik suffered a brutal knockout loss in Russia against fellow octagonist Oli Thompson.
The 45-year-old submission specialist crashed to the canvas when Thompson landed a right hand, bouncing his head violently off the canvas in video captured by @Grabaka_Hitman.

The fight took place as part of a REN TV Fight Club event at Dynamo Volleyball Arena in Moscow and was broadcast online. This was Oleinik’s first appearance since his release from the UFC, which came after losing a decision to Ilir Latifi at UFC Vegas 61 last October.
Oleinik, who made his professional MMA debut in 1996 and held a professional record of 60-17-1, regularly beat his younger, better-dressed opponents, once leading former UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum. But the Russian octagon’s career ended with a record of 9-9, and many of his losses were the result of knockouts.
British vet Thompson has lost his past four matches in the cage while on the international circuit. He went 0-2 in his short stint in the UFC.
