Famous Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has recently taken to the sport of jiu-jitsu and competitive wrestling.
Zuckerberg has been competing as best he can, improving his craft.
According to Lucas Costa, who refereed a recent competition in Redwood City, California, he spoke about a recent incident at the event.
Meta team boss Zuckerberg got into a heated exchange with Costa at the first-ever Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Championships — and then went on to surprise the martial arts fans by winning gold and silver medals.
Video footage of the weekend’s match shows the 38-year-old Facebook billionaire trying to pin his rival to the floor – but he ends up pinning himself to the mat.
About two minutes into the match, the referee called the match, believing Zuckerberg — who had spent most of the match on his back — had finally “took advantage” of it and handed it to his opponent, according to Yahoo News.
Yahoo reported that a visibly frustrated Zuckerberg — who rose from the mat with his robe open and his chest exposed — then claimed to the referee that the call was a foul.
“There was no argument,” Costa said bloody elbow said. “He was in the G and he choked. That was the video I watched. I stopped him and he wanted to check with me why I stopped him. He didn’t know what was going on, which was one of the reasons I stopped him. But he started snoring and the rule set says snoring is a version of the faucet.” verbal”.
The match was eventually re-imagined as a 0-0 draw, which appears to please Zuckerberg in the video as he embraces his opponent afterwards.
After this article was published, a spokesperson for Meta reached out to MyMMANews on the record and stated: “At no point during the competition did Mark fall unconscious. That never happened.”
Update: After our story was published, I heard from both Mark Zuckerberg and his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructor. Both insisted that Mr. Zuckerberg had not passed out, and the coach said the referee had mistaken his labored snoring for snoring: https://t.co/xicWVdSfke
