Wyndham Clark (Communal and Footjoy)
Hero look! Sometimes you just get a vibe around a player in a tournament on Sunday, and Windham Clarke’s sweet blues gave him an air of calm as he strode his way to the first tee. From shooting the opening tee to the final green, he felt in control. (Well, except maybe for a few punctures where he had his hands on the steering wheel as far as he could go). Clark excelled on the field and was MVP of the week. What a win for him, and what a stunning showcase for versatile sportswear brand Municipal, co-founded by Mark Wahlberg and Harry Arnett. If you’re looking for a polo that has a fashion edge for the course and beyond, the Johnny collar on this shirt will set you apart from the rest of your teammates. (Unfortunately, it is not available on the municipality’s website.)
While Clark may not be a household name to the average golf fan, he’s been on our fashion radar for a while. Before lifting the US Open Cup and capturing the Wells Fargo Championship, he won Threadie’s first game as a MVP of 2022. We like to think that kick-started his winning streak. very funny!
Rory McIlroy (Nike)
In fact, I had a similar feeling about Rory on Sunday, so my Spidey senses are as good as a coin flip. The black pants brought a business-like approach to the final round while allowing water polo to take center stage in Hollywood.
Cameron Young (Peter Millar and Footjoy)
I was surprised Centennial Footjoy Group Out of clothes and shoes did not get more time for the camera. Yes, I know Cameron Smith ran late Sunday while wearing limited edition Premiere Series Wilcox shoes, but it’s the other camera that wears them better. The simple navy and gray fit directly put the spotlight on FJ’s latest bad kicks. Let’s hope Open Championship Week gives FootJoy another reason to release a limited-edition shoe. Fingers crossed.
Dustin Johnson (Extracurricular and Foot Joey)
Except on Saturday, the DJ tripled down on these simple yet chic white and navy blue looks from extracurriculars. It’s the details, like The piping on the sleeves and the placket that makes this dime. Extracurricular seems like my signature brand of the year. Join the cart now. I saved you a seat.
Gordon Sargent (Footjoy)
If Gordon Sargent plays golf, I want to watch it. This guy is giving JT some serious vibes. He’s not a big guy, but he can certainly hit the full send button on command. It’s also one of those little guns that tends to look classic in a modern way. Sure, nothing flashy here, but the stitching shirt And pants The fine and precise coordination of all the pieces elevates the whole fit.
Colin Morikawa (Adidas Golf)
Mixing and matching blues is Morikawa’s specialty, and the subtle print added just the right amount of texture. I wish he was wearing some bouts Boogie Boys x adidas golf collaboration During competition days, but at least he gave us a taste during a training run.
Rickie Fowler (Puma Golf)
this Puma Love / H8 Polo It was perfect for Ricky’s trip recently. It reminded me of Bob Marley’s tune, One Love. It is a song about unity and bringing everyone together. This was Ricky this tournament, eh? Was there anyone who didn’t endorse Ricky?? As always, he handled himself with grace, class, and dignity.
Nickel Fashion
Tony Finau (Nike)
This is a special section for those who almost got a tan but ended up pricking part of their thumb in the process. The teal shorts were an absolute winner for Nike throughout the tournament and the navy blue printed polo coincided perfectly. I just don’t understand the black and pink Jordan 1 Lows. Sometimes plain white is the best choice. Or, why not a custom paint job?
Tommy Fleetwood (Nike)
Another way to wear those velvet pants…but that hat. Oof!
Fashion crimes
Se Woo Kim
Si Woo got some incoming fire from Keith Mitchell on Saturday. I can’t help but think that Cashmere Keith was trying to take out the polo with a direct hit and Si Woo was just collateral damage.
Ben Carr
Holy long pants, Batman. The inner seam on these shorts looks like it was meant for one of the Lakers’ top men, not Ben Carr!
