Six-time UFC veteran Felipe Polaris died at the age of 29 after he was hit by a bus on Monday.
Sherdog.com contributor Christian Stein confirmed the news of Kolaris’ death along with teammate Clydeson Rodriguez. Kolares was injured on his way home from training in Rio de Janeiro and died on his way to Rocha Faria Hospital in Campo Grande, according to The Guardian.

Kollaris last fought on February 17, when he submitted Alion Nahi at Ares Club 12. Prior to that, the Nogueira representative went 2-4 over six rounds in the UFC from 2019 to 2022. He picked up victories over Luke Sanders and Domingo Pilarte during his tenure. His work with the promotion in Las Vegas.
The fighter known as “Cabocao” has compiled an 11-4 mark over the course of his MMA career that began in 2013. As per Combate Report, Colares left behind a wife and 10-month-old son.
