It looks like the UFC is already planning Israel Adesanya’s upcoming title defense, just a week after his last bout.
The 33-year-old middleweight champion is looking to stay active keeping his schedule averaging three fights a year.
At UFC Kansas City’s post-fight press conference, Dana White shared where Israel Adesanya is in terms of his next fight, which is promising to say the least.
This guy was blowing on the hunter and the boys: “When’s my next fight?” “I want to fight again,” White said. “Israel Adesanya wants to fight nonstop, constantly and wants to fight everyone. We are working on it, and he will fight again soon, maybe by the end of the summer.”

The UFC is still working on a pay-per-view calendar during the summer months. While UFC 289 will feature a trio between Amanda Nunes and Julianna Pena, UFC 290 does not have a confirmed main event. However, the trend is leaning towards Aleksandar Volkanovski vs. Yair Rodriguez and Brandon Moreno vs. Aleksandr Pantoja as the main and co-main events.
If Adesanya is to fight in late summer, UFC 291 or UFC 292 seems the most plausible possibility, as both events are still under construction.
Israel Adesanya has successfully eliminated the middleweight division. So much so that Pereira, who still leads Adesanya in his fighting series 3-1, Moves up to light heavyweight to face new challengers while seeking a second UFC title.
Adesanya’s dominance is already at the Hall of Fame level, defeating Robert Whitaker (x2), Paolo Costa, Marvin Vittori, Kelvin Gastelum, Jared Cannonier and Derek Bronson over the past few years. Now, his middleweight options appear to include newer opponents like Dricus Du Plessis, Jan Blachowicz, or Khamzat Chimaev.
