UFC President Dana White is bashing the MMA media for spreading rumors about his relationship with Khamzat Chimaev.
Reports surfaced earlier this week that Power was in the midst of a serious social media shake-up and that he wasn’t following everyone. Twitter Except for the pioneer of MMA in the UAE, Tam Khan and the controversial Andrew Tate.
Chimaev, 29, appears to have unfollowed all of the UFC brass and all of his official UFC accounts on Twitter.
Taking to social media, Dana White, with a screenshot of the MMA Mania article, tried to put an end to these “non-follow-up” rumors saying:
“This is ‘the media.’ I can literally do that every single day with almost every story written. Everything these people write is complete and utter bulls**t.”
White wants to put the rumors regarding his relationship with Chimaev straight, and in doing so, he’s telling the media that he calls “bulls**t”.
This is of course not the first time an SB Nation outlet has been involved Out-of-service For their exaggerated headlines (see more on that here).
True, Khamzat Chimaev (12-0 MMA) has not fought for the past eight months. The last time ‘Borz’ entered the octagon was in September 2022 at UFC 279 where he fought and defeated Kevin Holland (24-9 MMA) via submission at 2:13 of Round 1.
To date, Chimaev has not had a fight scheduled in the UFC.
White spoke about Chimaev’s status in the UFC to ‘TSN’ earlier this month, saying:
“It’s on him (Chimaev), though. He’s got things going on in his personal life. It’s not because we don’t make him fight. You obviously know how things work around here. I talk about this all the time, we guys should get three fights a year. If We don’t get guys three fights a year, we have to pay them. The only way that wouldn’t happen is if they had personal stuff going on.”
Chimaev responded to White’s allegations via Twitter, saying:
“I don’t have any problems with fights, if they gave me a fight, I would have fought a long time ago, I’ve done many training camps and not one fight, the problem is definitely not with me, ready in Dubai and then in Thailand, why do I train so much if there is no fight, I don’t understand “.
So…. Where there is smoke there is fire. Is there a problem between Chimaev and the UFC?
Who do you want to see Boers go into the cage with?
