UFC President Dana White speaks out about the ‘uneducated’ critics of Power Slap.
Wyatt broke into the slaps fight industry earlier this year with his official debut taking place on January 18th. The first season consisted of 8 episodes starring the “Power Slap League”. The contestants of the show slap each other in the face in order to gain victory. The winner is decided by the judges after three rounds. The league has over 30 competitors, referred to as “Forwards” and a win can result in a purse from $2K to $10K per game.
While many people tuned in to the shows, many other critics have pointed out that Power Slap is a brutal sport that can cause serious brain injuries.
If you visit the website, you will find the following:
“Power Slap is the world’s premier slap fighting organization, licensed and endorsed by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.”
Led by Dana White, Power Slap features competitors from around the world fighting on the ultimate stage to showcase their strength, technique and grit.
White, during an interview with Nina Marie Danielle spoke about Power Slap saying it is nowhere near as dangerous as boxing. Manyus):
“We spend money to make sure there are two healthy people in there before a fight, but in smack, they take three to five slaps per event. Boxing fighters take three to four hundred punches per fight. It’s uneducation or pure hate.”
While boxers are true, taking many punches, they also have the ability to stand up for themselves. In Power Slap, there is no defense, where one competitor stands idly by and places his hand behind his back while the other competitor slams them as hard as possible, with the intent of finishing them off.
While Power Slap Season 2 will not air on TBS, it has found a new home and will be filming in Abu Dhabi and broadcast on Rumble.
