The company has made the trip just under 16 times since 2010, and earlier this year hosted UFC 284 in Perth, Australia. This card headlined Aleksandr Volkanovski challenging Islam Makhachev for the promotion’s lightweight championship.
The Sydney date is expected to take place at the Qudos Bank Arena, where the promotions were last held in 2017.
Volkanovski is set to defend his belt in a title unification bout at UFC 290 in July, which may or may not put him out of the running for a September card.
