Shel Sonnen does not believe controversial social media star Andrew Tate is guilty of taking performance-enhancing drugs to achieve his chiseled physique.
Recently, the internet’s favorite misogynist shared the results of his blood tests in an effort to prove that he wasn’t a user of substances generally banned in combat sports, including TRT (Testosterone Replacement Therapy). In search of validation, Tate turned to Canadian bodybuilder Derek from the popular podcast More dishes, more dates. An expert in performance-enhancing substances and healthy living, Derek accepted the opportunity and gave a 20-minute explanation of his conclusion which you can see here.
In short, Derek found Andrew Tate’s test results to be of a moderate TRT user.
I continued [Andrew Tate] For a long time. I actually think it’s normal. However, I think what he posted has kind of done the opposite of helping to bolster what he’s trying to prove here,” Derek revealed. “It shows that he basically has the same level as a guy on a moderate dose of TRT.”
Shel Sonnen doesn’t think Andrew Tate’s physique is that of someone on TRT
In response to Derrick’s findings, former three-time UFC title challenger Chil Sonnen is a guy who knows a thing or two about banned substances.
In the last episode of Post-fight On YouTube, Sonnen suggested that his own experience in the field had led him to believe Andrew Tate was 100 percent clean. Of course, Sonnen could not offer his explanation without turning it into a passive-aggressive conclusion on former world champion ISKA of the second degree.
“I saw Andrew’s response where Andrew said, ‘Hey Derek, I appreciate you. I know you’re an expert and thanks for talking about me. I’m not an expert in this area, but I’m an expert myself and I know I’ve never taken anything away. It’s true. I’m not telling you that What Derek said isn’t true because I didn’t hear it, but what I’ll tell you is that’s not the physique of someone on steroids. This is the physique of a guy who eats donuts here and there. It’s probably a very slow morning,” Sonnen said.
“Want to know what Andrew Tate’s physique is like? Here, I’ll tell you exactly. It’s probably going to be a long, long morning that probably includes water. Max with juice, minimal coffee and somewhere later in the day you’ll finally get a meal.” And around bedtime he’ll have something else that’s probably really good. It could even be a donut. And then you work out for 45 minutes fairly regularly. About five times a week and not as fast in the world. That’s what that body is. There isn’t even possibly whether it’s clean or not.”
Andrew Tate was arrested along with three other people, including his brother Tristan Tate, in Romania last December on suspicion of human trafficking, rape and forming an organized criminal group. After more than three months in custody, all parties were released on house arrest as the investigation continues.
Sonnen concluded, “Seeing him with his shirt on, that body is clean.”
