The UFC returns to Paris, France on September 2nd, nearly a year to a day since its first event in the capital.
Could this become an annual tradition?
The original UFC Paris on September 3 went from the Accor Arena and featured a main event fight between local challenger Cyryl Gane and Tai Tuivasa. Jin got the crowd excited when he knocked out Tuafassa in the third round. Robert Whitaker defeated Marvin Vettori by decision in the joint drive, while the French fighters Benoit Saint-Denis, Faris Ziam and William Gomes scored victories.
While no fights have been announced yet for UFC Paris 2023, we have a feeling Gane could fight again in France. We haven’t seen a Bon Jamin since a disappointing first round loss to Jon Jones in March.
Another fighter we’re sure the UFC would like to put on the card is women’s competitor Manon Fiorot. Fiorot is 5-0 in the Ultimate Fighting Championship but has not fought since his November 2022 victory over Katelyn Chokagean. As fighter #2 at 125 pounds, could we see her new champion Alexa Grasso up for the belt?
The fight against Rose Namajunas would also do well on top of the card.
