The Glasgow Clan confirmed, on Wednesday evening, the signing of striker Philippe Sanch, to keep him away from his rival Dundee after two seasons with the stars.
The 28-year-old has returned 127 points from his 116 games for the Tayside club, helping the Stars reach the Playoff Finals weekend in his first season with the team. He was the eighth highest scorer in the 2022/23 season despite Dundee finishing last overall.
“I am very happy to sign with the Glasgow Clan and a team I have enjoyed many battles with, so I look forward to being a part of them,” Sanch said.
“The future is exciting out there and I am excited to be working with Coach Morgan, who I know has big plans.
“The Purple Army has always brought so much energy whenever you play against the clan, so hearing the hype they bring is another thing that gets me excited. I can’t wait to get back to Scotland and get started.”
Coach Jason Morgan added: “I’m really excited to add Philippe Sanch to the squad, after being out for two very good seasons at Dundee. Last year he led the way in points with the Stars, and he’s a very smart offensive player.
“Philip also plays with a feisty edge, is expected to bring leadership, and we welcome him to the Klan’s hockey family.”
