TORONTO (AP) — Kahleah Copper scored 18 points and nine rebounds as the Chicago Sky beat the Minnesota Lynx 82-74 in a preseason game Saturday in the WNBA’s first visit to Canada.
Keiana Traylor scored 13 points and Robin Parks and Morgan Birch scored 12 each for Chicago.
Tiffany Mitchell scored 19 points and six assists for Minnesota. Rachel Banham and Kyla McBride scored 13 points each.
Ontario native Bridget Carlton scored three points and two rebounds in 12 minutes for the Lynx. She received a standing ovation when the starting line-up was announced and in speaking to the sold-out Scotiabank Arena crowd before the match.
It was the final pre-season game for both teams. They will meet again in the regular season opener on May 19 in Minnesota.
