UFC bantamweight Hailey Kwan took the stage less than five minutes after the early (and official) weigh-in kick-off this morning in “Sin City” (Get the full results and video here), tipping the scales at 137.5 for the Jamey-Lyn Horth fight over ESPN+ Prelims card. Horth made her mark without incident, weighing in at 135.5 lbs.
He called it the koan curse.
Not long after that drama unfolded, former Bellator Irina Alexeyeva broke the scale at 140 pounds, five pounds more than opponent Stephanie Egger, who made 135 on the nose with little effort. Both fights are expected to continue but Kwan and Alexeyeva will have to hand over part of their fight bag.
