The Bantamweight move made its way to the UFC’s Fight Night card on June 17, as Brazilian vet Raony Barcelos (17-4) returns against Miles Jones (13-2).
Fight Night is back in action at Apex in Las Vegas. The news of the reservation was announced on Tuesday before Iridium Sports Agencywho represent Johns, followed Preliminary report from Ag.Fight.
Barcelos was the last to compete in January, becoming the last opponent to be challenged by the undefeated Umar Nurmagomedov, cousin of former lightweight champion Khabib, and brother of Bellator MMA lightweight champion Usman Nurmagomedov.
Prior to that match, Barcelos had defeated Trevin Jones. Overall, the Brazilian has been 1-3 in the past four years, a stretch that began in June of 2021.
Jones will enter the fray after defeating Vince Morales last November. For the 2019 competition series, Johns is 4-2 inside the Octagon so far.
The UFC’s Fight Night card on June 17, 2023 is expected to feature the middleweight title, as Marvin Vettori takes on Jared Cannonier. To date, the following matches have been reported for the event:
