Tonight’s event was UFC Vegas 71 on top of the main heavyweight competition featuring Sergey Pavlovich taking on Curtis Blades.
Pavlovich (18-1 MMA) entered sports competition with five straight wins, the most recent of which was a knockout victory over Tai Toivasa. The 30-year-old Russian has won all five of his previous bouts via KO/TKO.
Meanwhile, Curtis Blades (17-4 MMA) is back in action for the first time since defeating Tom Aspinall via TKO in July last year. The Razor has gone 7-1 over the past eight you fight Overall, with his only loss at the time being at the hands of Derrick Lewis.
Tonight’s main event UFC Vegas 71 didn’t make it out in the opening round. Sergei Pavlovich was aggressive from the start, but Curtis Blades was doing well early on with his counter punches. However, the Russian knockout artist eventually found a home for some of his big shots and sent “Razor” to the canvas from above. From there, Pavlovich used some ground and pound to put the Blaydes away for good.
