Nothing against the Zurich Classic in New Orleans, but this week feels like an overdue break for the PGA Tour, which has been teetering through one major event after another since the calendar flipped to 2023.

In the past seven weeks, there have been five select events/major tournaments.
This week and next week – the Mexican Open in Vedanta where John Rahm will defend his title – turn the heat down a bit before another series of three designated/major events in five weeks, including the PGA Championship.
Some notes while grilling oysters in New Orleans:
