And the Atlanta Hawks are hiring Brittney Donaldson to serve as their newest sideline assistant, according to sources. Tell Lauren Williams from The Atlanta Journal.
Donaldson will become the franchise’s first-ever female coach, now transferring from the Detroit Pistons after a one-year stint as director of coaching analytics.
She began her coaching stint as an analyst for the Toronto Raptors in 2017, and was promoted to Nick Nurse’s staff again in 2019.
The Hawks did plenty of off-season training around head coach Quinn Snyder, and Donaldson will join Igor Kokoskov, Mike Brey, Antonio Lang, Jeff Watkinson and Stephen Klee on the Atlanta side next year.
