The Golf Course Tour, a pioneering initiative that sees iconic sports courses transformed into one-of-a-kind golfing experiences, from its first event in the UK yesterday saw golfers get the chance to step into the hallowed grounds of England Rugby’s home of Twickenham and play nine holes of golf. Like never before. For the first time in England, beloved courses say farewell to their traditional sports and welcome golf. The famous courses will be converted into 9-hole golf courses, challenging participants to display their skills from nine strategically placed tee boxes around the course. In addition to the 9-hole golf course, a golf course tour provides attendees with access to The Clubhouse, a center where participants can immerse themselves in the world of golf. The Clubhouse features a range of activities, including golf simulators, a putt and chip challenge, and a hitting platform, as well as exclusive behind-the-scenes tours of the course.Participants will have the opportunity to explore iconic areas of these sporting arenas, such as the legendary Twickenham England changing rooms, creating memories that will last a lifetime.Speaking about the golf course tour, Nils Proud, Managing Director of Twickenham Experience Limited, said: “It has been great to see the stadium transformed into a nine-hole golf course. Adding a golf tournament to the long list of events previously held at the stadium, shows just how diverse it is. A place like Twickenham A round golf course is a great addition to our annual sporting calendar.”
Tickets for Twickenham Stadium to play over the next three days (9-11 June) are available online at twickenhamstadium.com/golfwith other events scheduled to take place at Milton Keynes MK from 6-9 July, and West Ham Stadium in London from 12-15 October.
