The British Basketball Association is pleased to announce the appointment of Jose Garnes as its new Head of Content.
Garnes joined the league having recently spent three and a half years as Head of Content at SailGP, leading the Competitions Content team. He was responsible for overseeing all aspects of SailGP content, including the production of the groundbreaking “Racing on the Edge” documentary series.
Prior to that, Garnes held a variety of roles within the sports sector, including a Senior Producer role at Sunset + Vine where he worked with some of the world’s leading sports and branded content organizations such as the International Olympic Committee, Red Bull and the International Fencing Federation.
Garnes appointment comes at a very exciting time for British Basketball, as it continues to grow its content team in order to fulfill its ambition to produce a world-class entertainment experience for its fans and partners. The appointment is the first of a number of media and content appointees for the league, as interest in British basketball continues to soar across the UK, including record viewing figures throughout the 22/23 season so far.

British Basketball League chief executive Aaron Radin said:
