Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry putt a long eagle putt on the final hole to win the American Century Championship on Sunday in Stateline, Nevada.
Curry finished two points ahead of former tennis player Mardy Fish in the popular golf event at Edgewood Tahoe Resort.
In Stableford’s modified scoring system for the championships, Curry shot 25 on Sunday for a three-round total of 75. Fish, who won the event in 2020, closed out with 26 to finish at 73.
Dallas Stars forward Joe Pavelski had a 19 card on Sunday and ended up third with a 66. Mark Mulder, a three-time American of the Century winning former baseball player, finished fourth with a 59 after a Final 21.
On Saturday, Curry par-bore the 1-hole par 152-yard, par 3, only the fifth time in the tournament’s 34-year history. The only other basketball player to win the event was Vinny Del Negro in 2021.
