Steph Curry has had a knack for coming in the clutch throughout his NBA career, and he was displaying that uncanny ability at the American League of the Century this week. And it culminated on Saturday when Curry punched a hole in one… and followed it up with an even better celebration.
Curry kicked off round two of Edgewood Tahoe Resort’s annual celebrity buff event with a lead, after greeting fans at the site and watching on TV Friday with an unlikely birdie bomb.
But he was saving his best for Saturday. On the 7th hole of the par 3 short, which was played to 146 yards in the third round, Curry pulled the shooting wedge after debating which club to use with the caddy. They chose the right.
Curry sent his tee shot sailing high into the air and watched from the tee as it landed right next to the hole, bounced once and then dropped for an ace.
Caught up in the excitement of the moment, Curry ripped off his hat and then sprinted down the middle of the hole with his arms spread out by his side.
As the TV host quipped, “He may not stop ‘until he gets to the bay area,” Curry continued his brisk run, leaping into the air for a high-flying fist pump as he reached the green, then continued, slapping the flag as he passed and circled around the green, which he Still in full swing.

After the round, Carey revealed that it was just the second hole of his life.
While Curry will never forget his big moment on Saturday, he has a chance to create more memories for life on Sunday. The Golden State Warriors star has maintained a three-point lead over the rest of the field, so they’ll head into the Final Round with a golden opportunity to win their first U.S. Championship of the Century title.
You can watch the latest round on NBC from 2:30 to 6 p.m. ET on Sunday or stream the simulcast on Peacock.
