Despite the intensity of the Miami Heat-Boston Celtics Conference Finals series on all four corners of the court, the bickering banter of Stan Van Gundy and Tyler Herro continues.
On Saturday, the Heat hotshot took an Instagram swipe to respond to Van Gundy, who got in style as he continued to prop the Heat off the bench while he continued his hand recovery. Herro fought back and continued to point out that his technique was as bad as the previous coach’s tenure.
Leading up to Game 6 between the Celtics and Heat, Van Gundy, now a TNT analyst, didn’t mince words about Hiro’s response as he popularized the new generation as sensitive and “a little soft.”
“Some guys are real sensitive, and some of us can laugh at ourselves,” Van Gundy said. “You know, men are a bit weak in this generation now.”
Amidst this harassment by Herro, Charles Barkley supported his coaching achievement. For the record, Van Gundy managed to be a head coach for 13 seasons with four different teams while compiling a 554-425 record (. 5666 winning percentage). He also led the Orlando Magic to an NBA Finals appearance in the 2008-2009 season.
With Miami and Boston both set to face off in Game 7, it’s not yet clear if Herro and Van Gundy will also expand their junior feud.
