The Biopic documenting the beginning of one of the best and most exciting sports careers of all time has finally come to an end.
Now acclaimed as one of the greatest basketball players of all time, LeBron James has had an incredible journey from being a popular high school star to achieving NBA glory. His new movie Shooting Stars delves into his rise to basketball stardom alongside his best friends from St. Vincent-St. Mary High School.
The story line behind ‘Shooting Stars’
The film, directed by Emmy-nominated Chris Robinson and produced by Terrence Winter, Rachel Winter, Spencer Begley, LeBron James and his business partner Maverick Carter, depicts James’ early years. Shooting Stars is based on a book co-authored by James and Pulitzer Prize-winning author Buzz Bissinger.
The story revolves around LeBron James and his childhood buddies Drew Joyce III, Willie McGee, Sean Cotton, and Romeo Travis. In their quest to play together, they moved from the Akron public school system to St. Vincent-St. Mary High School, where they join forces and embark on an extraordinary journey. Prior to their time at St. Vincent-St. Mary, the group has played together on their own league team, the aptly named Shooting Stars.
