Coming into International Fight Week in July, UFC 290 looks to be a solid card so far.
With two title fights (it is said) and a number of big matches, the pay-per-view event should be on July 8, 2023 at T-Mobile, Las Vegas for the dates. The latest addition arrived over the weekend, with news of a welterweight fight between Shawn Brady (15-1) and Jacques Della Maddalena (14-2).
The reservation shows exactly how much the promotion is about “JDM,” which debuted in the Octagon just last year.
News of the match was first reported by Twitter user @Bendamanwith Madalena Confirm dateAnd Brady confirms both the date and the nemesis on his Instagram Story.
To date, Maddalena has won all four of his bouts in the UFC, having worked his way up to the company Dana White Rivalry Series in 2021. Recently, he lit up Randy Brown before catching him in a show as part of UFC 283 in Perth.
Brady had his undefeated record spoiled last time around, losing via TKO to Bilal Muhammad at UFC 280 in October. He sits at number nine in the UFC’s welterweight division, of which JDM currently ranks 13th.
