Shane Burgos earned $100,000 flat for his unanimous decision win over Yamato Nishikawa in PFL 6 last Friday.
The UFC veteran was one of five fighters from the card to earn six-figure pay. Burgos was the only one among those whose earnings did not include a win bonus. The Georgia Sports and Recreation Commission recently released salary numbers from the event. PFL 6 takes place at the Overtime Elite Arena in Atlanta.
Defending lightweight champion Olivier Aubain Mercier and returning welterweight king Sadibo Sy received $100,000 each for victories in the evening’s featured matches. He defeated Obin Mercier Anthony Romero ($15,000) via a third-round knockout in the main event of PFL 6, while Sadibo C. scored a stunning spinning kick KO of Shane Mitchell ($10,000) in the co-title. Additionally, Magomed Magomedkerimov and Natan Schulte were awarded $100,000 each for their wins over David Zawada ($20,000) and Raush Manfio ($30,000), respectively.
It should also be noted that while Schulte and Manview have been suspended by the PFL for substandard fighting, they will not face further sanctions from the Georgia commission.
Note: Portfolios disclosed by state athletic commissions do not include any performance-based or discretionary bonuses that may be awarded to a fighter through promotion. Additionally, the reported numbers do not reflect any deductions made by the commission for taxes, insurance, etc., nor do they include any sponsorship money a fighter might receive for their performance.
