In Seattle, a scoreless first period Sunday night was a thriller in Game 3 of the second round between the Kraken and Dallas Stars.Kraken scored an equal five goals in the middle frame en route to a 7-2, 2-1 victory over Dallas.
Jordan Eberle The scoring opened two minutes into the middle to give the Kraken a 1-0 lead.
The goal was the result of Dallas. Miro Hiskanen After being hit in the face from the deflection, the puck fell to the ice near the crease, where Eberle collected it for the goal.
“It’s an unfortunate throwback for them,” said Eberle. “It’s always weird because you want to finish the play and you see him laying there, so that’s always hard, but he was laying there and I just tried to hit a forehand and was lucky enough to put it in. It’s a hard game when a guy’s lying there, but you’re just trying to finish it.”
Heiskanen did not return after leaving for treatment.
“I don’t have anything yet. “Very bad cut, so we’ll know more tomorrow,” said Dallas coach Peter DeBoer. “I think he would have liked to come back. I think we talked about that. I think the result definitely played a part in that.”
Seattle then took three shots on goal, scoring all three.

“This is definitely a qualifier for you,” Benners said. “The last series (against the Colorado Avalanche) was kind of the first glimpse of it, but you get one in your building, the crowd starts going crazy, you get some real momentum, and you get on your toes. The other team is kind of sitting a little bit… And then it just starts to show… We definitely benefited from the momentum today.”
