While on a stopover in Toronto to finish packing a few things, Washington Capitals defenseman Rasmus Sundin stopped by the Toronto Maple Leafs’ training facility to greet his former teammates and coach during their workouts Monday.
Rasmus Sandin receives today # Leaves Practice with some friends from Sweden. After he was traded to Washington at the deadline, he said he was back in Toronto to “pack things up.”

The 23-year-old was traded to Washington by Toronto in exchange for defenseman Erik Gustafsson and a first-round pick by the Boston Bruins on February 28.
Sandin scored three goals, 15 points, and a 43.97% five-for-five percentage in 19 games with Washington after the trade.
Sandin was seen talking to Toronto head coach Kyle Dubas and his staff as they watched practice.

Toronto opens its first-round Stanley Cup semi-final against the defending three-time Eastern Conference champion Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday at Scotiabank Arena (7:30 p.m. EST, ESPN).
