Former Blackhawks forward Andrew Shaw discussed the sexual assault incident in Chicago on the Raw Knuckles podcast on Wednesday, which tarnished the reputation of the 2010 Stanley Cup champion.
However, many people will be offended by what Xu said.
“I don’t have anything bad to say about Kyle, but it’s a pity that something like this has to go to this extent when it could have been eliminated so quickly, from senior management and HR; it shouldn’t have anything to do with the players and the coaching staff,” Shaw said.. “Being twenty years old, I wouldn’t have put myself in the position Cale was in.
“Obviously, I didn’t know what was going on with Cale, but he put himself in a bad position.”
The Beach discussion began when former NHL presenter and enforcer Chris Neilan expressed his displeasure at how he had punished former Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville for his role in the incident. Milan does not believe that the coach should be removed from the game.
When news of the lawsuit leaked out, both Quenneville and former general manager Stan Bowman resigned from their positions. Beach filed a lawsuit in May 2021, accusing former Chicago video coach Brad Aldrich of sexual assault during the team’s Stanley Cup victory in 2010.
It was discovered that Blackhawks management met and chose not to face the event until after the playoffs, at which point the club’s director of human resources gave Aldrich the option of resigning or being fired. While Quenneville said he was unaware of the charges against him, he was allegedly present during the aforementioned meeting.
When the Blackhawks won the title in 2010, Shaw was not part of the team, but he did play and live with Beach while they were teammates with the Rockford Icehogs, Chicago’s AHL affiliate.
Shaw added, “I lived with Kyle in Rockford, he was great to me, he helped me pay the rent for my first two months, paid for my groceries for two weeks until I got my paycheck.”
Yet he insisted on saying what he said yesterday though?
This will not go over well with anyone.
