The New York Rangers added another pair of Hartford Wolf Pack linebackers, 24-year-old McHolwell inked and Nicholas Broyard, 28, to one-year contracts. Hollowell, who was selected in the 2018 fourth round by the Leafs, has 6 NHL games, notching a pair of assists with the Leafs last year. Brouillard is a pure AHL player, putting up about 40 points and 120 PIMs per season.
None of these players would ever be considered NHL players, but they are productive AHLers, something the Pack needs. It looks like Chris Drury and Ryan Martin are looking to build on last year’s surprise run to the Eastern Conference Final, and hopefully turn the Pack into a relevant team again.
