Quinton “Rampage” Jackson will be known for many things, but the viral moment where he destroyed a door in season 10 of The Ultimate Fighter is high on the list.
Jackson was one of the coaches for the season, along with fellow former lightweight champion Rashad Evans. After a match at home that saw Evans’ Matt Mitrione defeat Scott Jonk by majority decision, Jackson lost and smashed a door in the TUF gym – a moment that left Jackson embarrassed.
“That door ain’t worth it,” said Jackson. seconds out. “I was trying to leave because — I don’t know if you guys know this about me — I didn’t call myself Rampage. A lot of people think I’m a fighter, and I called myself Rampage to be a fighter, that nickname given to me when I was a little kid. I The nicest guy on the planet, and that’s because… I’m so cute I have to stay nice I have the worst mood ever If I lose my temper it’s so embarrassing I really hate it.
So I was trying to leave because they cheated on one of my fighters. I didn’t like the way they were [were] I treat my team, so I’ve been trying to leave the gym. And once I threw that water in, I was like, “Let me off camera, because I don’t know what I’m going to do if I lose my temper, I don’t know what I’m going to do or what I’m going to say. Maybe I’m going to hurt somebody.”
Jackson points out that if the door didn’t hit another object in the beginning, it might not have ended if left in it.
“I tried to open the door and there was a little seat in there, and it bounced back, and I just said, ‘This door,’” Jackson said. “This is the most embarrassing TV moment of my life. When I lose my temper and things like that, it’s embarrassing. Why do I have to do it in the door? I banged my head on the door. Why do I have to do that? Why do I have to be like this? “
