PHOENIX (AP) — Ariki Ogunbwale scored 23 points and Natasha Howard had 19 points and 10 rebounds as the Dallas Wings edged Phoenix 77-62 Tuesday night for the Mercury’s sixth straight loss.
Howard sank a wide-open 3-pointer with two seconds left in the third quarter for a 56–51 lead. After Phoenix took a 63-60 lead with 7:30 left in the fourth, Dallas closed out 14-2 – including 12 unanswered points.
Sato Sabali had her 10th double-double of the season with 18 points and 12 rebounds for Dallas (7-8), who won three straight in the series. Sabali had six assists.
Brittney Grenier scored 20 points for Phoenix (2-11). Michaela Onien added 12 points as Diana Taurasi held to six on 2-of-7 shooting. Sophie Cunningham (back) and Megan Gustafson (concussion) didn’t play.
