Nicholas Mota believes his fight at UFC Vegas 75 against Manuel Torres will be great as long as it lasts.
Mota was supposed to face Ignacio Bahamonds at UFC 287 in Miami April, but he was forced out of the match, which was heartbreaking for him. But luckily, he was able to make a quick comeback and is scheduled to fight this Saturday at UFC Vegas 75.
“I don’t think it’s disappointing anymore to fight in Apex,” Mota said on Just Scrap Radio on BJPENN.com. “When my trainer told me to quit my fight, it was my dream to fight on a pay-per-view basis with a crowd of people, so there was a lot of eyes on me due to it being pay-per-view. This was one of the biggest cards of the year, but my trainer reminded me it would be I have the opportunity to fight for more pay-per-views and the UFC doesn’t care where you fight, but instead if you win or lose the fight.”
As soon as Nicholas Mota could get a fight, he was offered Manuel Torres at UFC Vegas 75. Although Torres is only 1-0 in the UFC, Mota says he was familiar with him, looking at the lightweight roster and thinking it would be a fight. enjoyable.
“I was a bit familiar with him as I thought he could be a good match for me,” Motta said. “I had already considered the fight, and then when the UFC offered me the fight, I was like, ‘Let’s go.
Once Muta began to look more into the fight, he realized he knew what matchmakers were doing as he and his opponent were at the end of the first round. With that said, Motta expects to get the early stop and hopefully get a performance from his bonus night.
“When you look at both of our records, all of his fights end in the first round, only one made the decision. He came in for the kill, and my last fight was a seventh knockout in the first round. If I were a matchmaker, this fight would be a very good fight.” Muta concluded. Until the match makers know what they’re doing… Getting the extra night’s performance here is my dream.
