Toronto star Nick KypriosDefender Mark Giordano, 39, took a bit of a beating during the Toronto Maple Leafs’ playoff run, and with health being top priority, it might not be surprising if he considered retiring.
Giordano has one year left on his $800,000 contract and has already made $62 million throughout his career.

2. Mike Riley – Boston Bruins – 1 year left on $3 million Reilly’s purchase would cost $333,334 this year and $1,333,334 the following year.
3. Mikael Granlund – Pittsburgh Penguins – 2 years left on $5 million each. It would cost $833,333 to buy Granlund this year and $1,833,333 for the next three seasons.
4. Anthony Mantha – Washington Capitals – 1 year left at $5.7 million It will cost $1,366,667 to buy a Mantha this year and $2,166,667 the next.
