Rick Dhaliwal: “Kevin, as an agent, what are you looking for OEL when it comes to a new team? I mean there are a lot of factors that go into that, but when you sit down with your client, what are you looking for in their new home?”
Epp: “I think it’s different for every player, right? Usually there’s the main thing you want to be in a competitive team that has a chance of winning. What’s your role in that team, how are you going to play, how are they going to use you and use you, and where are you going to fit in their roster.”
Then there is the element of lifestyle and family, with family and where you want to live, where you want to be.
Then obviously then contractually. Also important is the salary. What kind of term do you get in the contract. What kind of compensation for each season.
So I think all of those factors come into play and some are heavier than others and we’ll just have to see what the market brings to it.”
