Oilers interested in Travis Konecny? What about the couple UFA forwards?
Kurt Levins from Edmonton MagazineA source said the Edmonton Oilers are one of the teams that have reached out to the Philadelphia Flyers about forward Travis Konecny.
Konecny has one year left on his contract at $5.5 million. He’s from Ontario so playing in Canada might not preclude a contract extension.
Winger Connor Brown is an unrestricted free agent who thinks Oilers fans should keep an eye out. After playing in just four games last season, he probably could have earned the league’s minimum salary and an extra contract. The Oilers have limited space this year and the bonuses will apply to the following year where the cap will go up much more.
Ken Holland had center Luke Glendening in Detroit and could be a free agent.

The Los Angeles Kings have a look at Tom Wilson and Pierre-Luc Dubois
Sammy Silber from The Hockey NewsJon Hoven and Dennis Bernstein report that a source said the Los Angeles Kings kicked tires on Washington Capitals’ Tom Wilson.
Wilson is entering the final year of his contract and will be out of the UFA next season.
“I don’t know how you make this trade work, but… things get really interesting,” Hoven said. “This will raise an eyebrow or two.”
The Capitals may have no interest in trading Wilson, and even if things fall apart next season, it’s hard to see any quick rebuilding involving trading Wilson. There are many who believe Wilson will eventually be the captain when Alex Ovechkin retires.
Elliott Friedman reported on 32 Ideas that the Kings have also shown some interest in Winnipeg Jets forward Pierre-Luc Dubois.
