Kansas City Chiefs: Wide Receiver
A year ago, the Chiefs traded star wide receiver Tyreek Hill to Miami Dolphin and turned to JuJu Smith-Schuster to be their new number one wide. The move worked well, as Kansas City went on to win power 57th. However, the Chiefs find themselves in a similar situation this offseason.
Smith-Schuster left in free agency, as did Mikul Hardman, who ranked fourth among tackles with 297 yards despite being limited to just eight games due to an abdominal injury.
It’s easy to think that coach Andy Reed and Patrick Mahomes are experienced enough to pull off other dribblers at reception. However, it doesn’t change the fact that the Chiefs need a new upper receiver to pair star tight end Travis Kelsey as a primary target.

Kansas City also signed Richie James and used a second-round pick over SMU’s Rashi Rice, so there will be plenty of competition. Ideally, this will result in a receiving team that the Chiefs can run another championship with.

Reminds me of Knile, he even has the same number. [He] he did not do [return kicks] In college, but he’s showing traits now that he reminds me a lot of Knile – he’s kind of creepy. Niles was really good for us, and obviously good at going downhill. Therefore, I see him in this role.

Patrick Mahomes, Chiefs Will Overtake Dynasty Warriors, Travis Kelsey Predicts | Hey ho
“I would say, yeah, Kansas City has been a dynasty for a long time now,” Kelsey said. “Obviously, I’m partial to that, but any coach [Andy] Reed has done that since he’s been here, win-wise, in terms of the playoffs and all division championships and AFC title appearances, and then obviously the Super Bowls.
“We’re 100 percent a dynasty, but when you face what the Warriors have done, we obviously don’t have many championships right now, so we’ve got some work to do. We’re in for an uphill battle. Especially when you talk about what the Warriors have been able to do. Unfortunately, I saw a few daggers from Golden State Warriors being Cavs A fan all day long.”

Packers’ Romeo Dobbs thinks Jordan Love can do “the exact same thing” as Aaron Rodgers | CBS Sports
Doubs, in particular, has been a casual highlight thanks to his relationship with Love after he did extra work in California on top of the OTAs in Green Bay last week. After Packers coach Matt LaFleur likened some of Doubs’ moves to those of former Packers great and Las Vegas Raiders All-Pro Davante Adams back in April, Doubs is now confident in declaring that Love can indeed live up to the formidable accomplishments of his predecessor.

Recently Signed to Bills LB Shane Ray Eyes NFL Return After Injuries Derailed Career | NFL.com
Linebacker Shane Ray, 30, was signed to Buffalo’s roster after completing a workout, bringing him one step closer to playing in the NFL for the first time since 2018.
The Broncos drafted Ray 23rd overall in 2015, and in his senior season he was part of Denver’s Super Bowl 50 roster. He seemed to build on that momentum in his sophomore year, playing in all sixteen games (eight starts) and collecting eight sacks. But in 2017, recurring wrist injuries emerged that severely limited his playing time for the next two years.
He was repeatedly placed on injured reserve and had four wrist surgeries in that time, which resulted in him being let go after the 2018 season. Although he had a short stint with the Ravens, Ray did not play in 2019, in part because to the continuing impact of his injury. Then with 2020 came the pandemic and the challenges associated with it, and Ray spent the next few years enjoying health and playing in the Canadian Football League, spending two years with the Toronto Argonauts trying to make a comeback.
