Nate Diaz will have the chance to turn on his vaunted tank of gas when he takes on Jake Paul in a boxing match on Aug. 5.
according to ESPNDiaz asked to extend his fight with Paul from eight rounds to 10, and Paul agreed to those terms. Now both parties are waiting for approval of the change from the Texas Combat Sports program.
Nate Diaz wants 10 rounds. Well Nathan, 10 rounds is it, Paul wrote on Twitter.

Assuming the application is approved, Diaz will be contested against Paul at 185 pounds over 10 rounds using 10-ounce gloves. The fight takes place at the American Airlines Center in Dallas and is broadcast on pay-per-view via DAZN as well as through all major cable and satellite providers.
Diaz ended his reign in the Octagon last September with a fourth round victory over Tony Ferguson at UFC 279. That fulfilled Diaz’s contract with the promotion in Las Vegas. Diaz emerged as one of the biggest stars of the UFC throughout the promotion’s run that began in 2007 after winning the title “The Ultimate Fighter 5.” He compiled a 16-11 mark in the Octagon and reached the peak of his star power when he submitted McGregor at UFC 196.
Paul is coming off the first loss of his professional boxing career, a split decision setback to Tommy Fury last February. The social media personality has a 6-1 mark in professional boxing, with notable wins over MMA fighters like Anderson Silva, Tyrone Woodley (twice), and Ben Askren.
