Welcome to Midnight Mania!
In just a few days, UFC Vegas 74 will take place inside UFC’s flagship venue, UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. It’s been almost three years since the UFC started showing shows at Apex, which means a good portion of the events now come without much of a crowd.
As a result, there is a growing anti-Apex sentiment among fighting fans. Events without crowds don’t have to sell out tickets, so there’s less expectation of a stack card with well-known names being available. Instead, the UFC could fill the night with an update Rivals Series Take-overs, making efficacy cost-effective under minimal supply and winning with basic pay and no hosting fees.
Despite UFC President Dana White repeating that it’s time to move on from Apex, small venue events keep cropping up. Four of the following eight shows will be broadcast from there, and now Reporting by Nolan King from USA Today that the UFC is applying for five more licenses in the fall. One event is planned to be held inside the T-Mobile Arena, but the remaining four are other UFC Vegas events.
The UFC will be inside Apex on September 16th and 23rd, October 7th and November 18th. The T-Mobile Arena pay-per-view (PPV) event is scheduled for December 16th.

Also on that card: Robbie Lawler vs. Scott Smith 1.
It probably would have gone down as one of the best action battles of its era if not for the blink of an eye in R3 that ended prematurely. Just look at the event in 10 minutes. pic.twitter.com/X027ICYHUj
