Welcome to Midnight Mania!
Nate Diaz and Water Bottles, a love story that will stand the test of time. Plastic bottles are the weapon used by the angry Stockton native and his crew, pelting everyone from Conor McGregor to Khamzat Chimaev and crew with his weapon of choice. At one point, Diaz faced a $50,000 fine for his Water Wars antics!
Earlier Friday night (April 21, 2023), Diaz was attending the Misfits & DAZN: X Series 6 boxing event in New Orleans, Louisiana to support his longtime tag teammate, Chris Avila. Avila defeated his opponent Paul Bamba by unanimous decision, but even a successful night in the office for Diaz’s crew does not guarantee a peaceful return.
Chase DeMoor, a Netflix star and soccer player turned boxer, lost earlier in the night via disqualification after continuing to knock his opponent unconscious. Both corners were immediately engaged, but DeMoor’s appetite for mayhem did not subside, and it seemed like he was starting to lean towards Diaz after Avila’s win.
Naturally, a bottle of water soon found its mark, and a scuffle broke out! DeMoor tried to throw a chair in Diaz’s direction, but he didn’t quite turn it around. Check out the wild scene below:
Is this the pinnacle of DeMoor’s combative sports career? probably. As for Diaz, he’s set to face Jake Paul on August 5 in Dallas, Texas, so his involvement in this style of celebrity boxing match isn’t over yet.
In other words: expect more water bottles.

Sean Strickland shows why the top 10 middleweights are up against man with one UFC fight. Next question: Why is it a major event?!?
With the recent Welterweight bookings, two of the top Welterweights have been left out of the fun…
I respect Bilal Muhammad’s clever style of fighting a lot, but I’d be somewhat surprised if he was able to dethrone Gilbert Burns on short notice.
Jillian Robertson looked sharp last week in her Strawweight debut, and she’s back in action quickly against a top player in Tabatha Ricci.
At the age of 42, The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) champion Juan Espino is retiring. It’s a shame he didn’t start fighting until much later in life, because he was really good!
