Welcome to Midnight Mania!
Mark Zuckerberg may have more martial arts experience than Elon Musk, but the Tesla CEO calls for the big guns. Last week, Musk was spotted training with podcaster and Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt Lex Friedman. He still rolls with Friedman, but now, Mask is sharing mats with Brazilian jiu-jitsu visionary John Danaher as well as mixed martial arts legend Georges St-Pierre.
A little background for those who don’t know: Danaher is a legend in the jiu-jitsu community. He has trained many of the best wrestlers in the world, as well as fighters like “GSP”, to great success. Most notably, he was the head trainer behind the Danaher Death Squad, a group of no-gi wrestlers who dominated the scene for several years before splitting up in 2021.
The biggest star of Danaher’s death squad was Gordon Ryan, still Danaher’s apprentice. Although he has serious health issues, Ryan hasn’t lost a match in many years and is one of the most accomplished wrestlers of all time. It’s also Team Musk, sharing a training photo above and coordinating at Zuckerberg.
“Your move, cowboy,” Ryan urged.
Zuckerberg was recently seen training with world BJJ champion Miki Musumesi, so he’s not exactly super edgy. He was also offered to train elite MMAs from former world champions, so if nothing else, the “Laughing Arrows” battle might produce some world class corner teams!
On a more realistic note, a jiu-jitsu match between the two seems more rewarding than a mixed martial arts fight.

Peter Yan needed a change after his current rough patch. Where would you like to see the land of “No Mercy”?
| Peter Yan announced that his next training camp will be in a different gym.
Yan trained most of his career at the Tiger Muay Thai gym in Thailand.

Good luck to Josiah Harrell, who moved up a weight class for a very short period of time and is likely to be worn out by one of the biggest hitters in Welterweight. Hopefully he gets a fair shake in his sophomore appearance!
Josiah Harrell slammed his opponent through the LFA cage door and now he’s reportedly fighting Jack Della Maddalena at UFC 290

Drama season! Brian Ortega and Tracy Cortez broke up long ago, and the latter was seen hanging out with Paulo Costa, which led to a hilariously bad athlete analogy…
good morning mtfx. I mean Tracy and I are just friends, nothing happened, we just took a selfie of a mutual friend. Stop bullying pic.twitter.com/VMP7AfkNuN

Everyone here talking about fumbled. You must not all know the rules of the game. When you drop the ball by accident, it’s frustrating, but when you throw it far on purpose, it’s frustrating. This is called a full pass. Top G shit!

Gordon Ryan’s toecaps, standing and on the ground, are a thing of beauty.
Will Joe Lauzon return to work? If so, who would you like to see fight?
Tidbit: The longest-serving member of the UFC roster Joe Lauzon has not competed since 2019.
Recently, Lauzon requested that promotion be in the future #UFC292 In Boston, sources say. However, there was no option that worked for him and the UFC brass, so talks stalled. pic.twitter.com/XYpcedSQV7

Stephen Thompson has the hops!
Slips, rips, and KO clips
Few things give me greater pleasure than seeing a bad lock throw get countered instantly.
Just a theory, but I’m guessing a dozen elbows and knees this guy sucked before The jab contributed to the KO.
Lightning fast counters and combos to the midsection:

This last night someone read midnight with all ten fingers. Good luck, crazy people!
